Carnauba Wax is obtained from the leaves of the Brazilian palm tree known as ‘Copernica Cerifera’, also referred to as the "Tree of Life". The Carnauba palm flourishes in northeastern regions within Brazil, and proliferates naturally along riverbanks, streams and damp low-lands.

一、石蜡的理化特性（一）石蜡是由于高分子碳氢化合物所构成，其结构式为CLH2n+2。含有16～35个碳原子的正烷烃，有少量的异构烷烃和环烷烃。为白色或黄色半透明无水的固体，无臭无味，呈中性反应。对酸和碱不易起反应，不溶于水，微溶于水，微溶于酒精、易溶于**、汽油、苯、煤油、氯仿等，在一般情况下不与氯化剂发生反应。（二）石蜡是石油的蒸镏产物，其溶点为30-70℃，沸点为350-360℃。。当石蜡加热到100℃或更高时，在与氧气充分接触的条件下，容易被空气中的氧气所氧化。医用的高纯度石蜡，其溶点为50-54℃其含油量。我国早已大量的生产高纯度医用石蜡，供医疗工作的需要。(三)石蜡的热容量大(见表)，导热性小(导热系数为)，比热为·度，为良好的带热体。由于其不含水分及其他液体物质，而且气体与水分不能透过，几乎不呈对流现象，因而有很大的蓄热性能。(四)石蜡加热后冷却时，能放出大量的热能(熔解热或凝固热)(见表)，每公斤熔解的石蜡变为固体时，放出的熔解热平均为39卡热量，即是熔解时的热量。熔解石蜡的温度愈高，由液体变为固体时的过程就愈慢，因而也就能较长地保持温热。(五)石蜡具有很大的可塑性，粘稠性和延伸性。随着热能的放散和冷却，石蜡逐渐变硬。福建供应石蜡
